The other day, I was browsing one of my favorite blog on the net and came across a cool site called “Let me google that for you”.
Now before I go on and tell you what this site is about, I want you to remember when was the last time someone asked you to find something online. For instance, my friend asked the definition of “atrocious”. Now, I’m not a walking dictionary and wasn’t sure what’s the meaning of that word until he asked. I Googled the definition for him and the next thing I know, he came back with more questions that a simple Google search can assist.
Here is where Let me google that for you comes in. In my opinion, the purpose of LMGTFY is to break the “being dependent” cycle and to let others to actually Google it for themselves.
I guess it is time for me to start writing my own blog. This is something I’ve been wanting to do for almost a year and never really had the guts to deal with my procrastination.
Anyways, this blog is going to be my avenue to share just about anything that I find amusing and interesting. Also when people Google my name, “Agustian Hermanto“, they can actually find something that is good and worthwhile to read; Not a story about a clown in an unknown village in France (This is not true of course, because I’m NOT a clown).
Call me a narcissist or whatever, it is actually pretty fun to Google your name and see the search results it gives. Sometimes, we might be ignorant with what we do digitally, such as facebook status, and leave a digital trail we don’t even realize about.
